Joshua Wilde

Research Scientist in the Labor Demography Group at Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research

Joshua Wilde is a Research Scientist in the Labor Demography Group at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. Before coming to the MPIDR, Joshua was an assistant professor of Economics at the University of South Florida. His research mainly focuses on the intersection of demography and macroeconomics in the developing world. However, while mush of his work deals with the macroeconomic effects of fertility decline, he also in actively engaged in research on the intersections of family structure, fertility, infant and maternal health, and economic outcomes of individuals in the short and long run. He holds a PhD in economics from Brown University.
