Julia Ruiz Pozuelo

Julia Ruiz Pozuelo is a Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution. Previously, she worked at CERES (Center for the Study of Economic and Social Affairs) in Uruguay. She is also the Economic Editor-in-Chief of La Grieta, an online platform that provides analysis on global issues. She studied Economics at Carlos III University of Madrid and at UC Berkeley, and currently continues her studies at Oxford University. Her research focuses on democratisation, development and subjective well-being.
