Kalina Manova

Professor of Economics at University College London

Kalina Manova is Professor of Economics at UCL. She received her AB, AM and PhD at Harvard, and was previously professor at Stanford, Princeton, and Oxford. She is Research Fellow at Centre for Economic Policy Research and at International Growth Centre, Consultant at Bank of England and Inter-American Development Bank, Council Member of the European Economic Association, and Editorial Board member at Review of Economic Studies and American Economic Journal: Policy. She has received a €1.5M Consolidator Grant from the European Research Council, a ₤750K UK ESRC Governance After Brexit grant, the UK Leverhulme Prize in Economics, Princeton IES Fellowship, Stanford Hoover Institution Fellowship, and an Excellence Award in Global Economic Affairs from the Kiel Institute for World Economy. Her research examines global value chains and firm production networks; financial frictions in international trade and investment; and firm productivity, quality, and management.
