Kamran Bilir

Assistant Professor of Economics and Mary Claire Phipps Fellow at University of Wisconsin – Madison

L. Kamran Bilir received her Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, and has since held the position of Assistant Professor of Economics and Mary Claire Phipps Fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has spent time at Princeton University serving as both a Peter B. Kenen Fellow and visiting Assistant Professor. Prior to that, Bilir received a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University. Bilir is currently a research affiliate of the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Center for Economic Policy Research, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Bilir's primary areas of research include international economics and the economics of innovation, with current work focusing on innovation, intellectual property policy, technology diffusion, productivity determinants, and the activity of multinational firms.
