Kasper Vrolijk is a research fellow at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability and guest lecturer at the University of Göttingen and the University of Bonn. His research is in international and development economics, and specifically the effects of globalization on firms, workers and households in developing countries, with a particular focus on Africa. He also occasionally regresses to studying economic impacts of climate change. His research has been funded and received awards from amongst others the Royal Economic Society, Institute of New Economic Thinking, and STEG-CEPR. Kasper received his PhD in Economics from SOAS, University of London, and his MA in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University.
