Kaushik Mitra is currently Professor of Economics in the University of Birmingham. He did his BSc and MSc at the University of Calcutta before obtaining his PhD from Cornell University. He was previously a lecturer in the University of York and Professor at Royal Holloway College, University of London, and at the University of St Andrews. He is an Associate Editor of Macroeconomic Dynamics and a member of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Peer Review College. His research interests are in Macro and Monetary Economics and he is one of the research leaders in the field of adaptive learning in macroeconomics.
