Kazunobu Hayakawa is Overseas Research Fellow at the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE). Prior to this position, he worked at the Bangkok office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) from 2011-2015 and was a research associate at Keio University from 2005-2008. He received his Ph.D. from Keio University with a dissertation on intermediate goods trade in 2008. His main research areas are international economics and economic geography. He has published in many journals including Journal of Economic Surveys, Review of World Economics, and Oxford Economic Papers.
