Ke Tang

Professor and Director of the Institute of Economics at Tsinghua University

Ke Tang is a Professor and Director of the Institute of Economics, School of Social Science, Tsinghua University, where he oversees and teaches modules in economics and finance. He received his B.A. in Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2000, Master of Financial Engineering from University of California, Berkley in 2004, and his Ph.D. in Finance from Cambridge University in 2008. His research covers topics such as commodity markets, cryptocurrency markets, and the application of big data and AI in economics. He has published numerous papers in leading journals, including Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, PNAS, and Annual Review of Financial Economics etc. He is also a frequent participant in high-end policy-related conferences held by institutions such as United Nations, OECD, European Committee and FAO etc. He currently serves as a managing editor of Quantitative Finance and an associate editor of the Journal of Commodity Markets.
