Kozo Kiyota

Kozo Kiyota is a Professor of Economics at the Keio Economic Observatory, Keio University and a Research Associate at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry. His research expertise covers empirical international trade, empirical industrial organisation, and empirical development economics. Prior to his current position, he was formerly an Associate Professor (2003-2013) and Assistant Professor (2001-2003) at the College of Business Administration, Yokohama National University; and a Research Associate at the Faculty of Economics, Keio University (1998-2001). He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Keio University in 2002. He has published several articles in academic journals, including Journal of International Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, and World Development. His articles are also covered by the media, including Nikkei. He has been an Associate Editor of Asian Economic Journal since 2006.
