Kyle Handley is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of California, San Diego in the School of Global Policy and Strategy. He has previously worked at Stanford University, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the University of Michigan. His work focuses on international trade, investment, uncertainty, and firm employment dynamics. He was the 2011 recipient of the WTO Young Trade Economist Essay Award. He is a faculty research fellow in the National Bureau of Economic Research. He received his B.S. in economics and math from the University of Wisconsin, his M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics, and his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland.I am an economist that studies international trade, investment, uncertainty, and firm employment dynamics. His research has been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of International Economics, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, and other outlets.
