Kyriakos Drivas

Assistant Professor, Department of Economics at University of Piraeus

Kyriakos Drivas is an assistant professor at the University of Piraeus at the Department of Economics. He has received his PhD from University of California-Berkeley where for his thesis focused on university technology transfer. His main research interests are on the economics of innovation and scientific research and the economics and management of intellectual property rights including patents and trademarks. He has previously worked as a visiting researcher at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has also conducted a commissioned report on the ramifications of the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court on behalf of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation. Kyriakos’ research has also been funded by the Greek National Strategic Reference Framework.
