Lai Wei will be joining the Department of Finance and Insurance in Lingnan University as Assistant Professor in August 2016. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance with First Class Honors from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and will complete her PhD in Finance from the University of Hong Kong in June 2016. She is a life-time member of Beta Gama Sigma Business Society. She is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Financial Innovation and Development in the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests are in corporate finance, financial reporting, capital market regulations and corporate innovation. Her papers have been presented in conferences including American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting and Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meeting, circulated as the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) working paper, and featured on Harvard Law School Corporate Governance Forum.
