Laura Bottazzi is Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna. She also teaches at L. Bocconi University (Milan) and is a Research Fellow of the Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research (IGIER) at Bocconi.
She obtained her PhD from MIT. She worked as a Consultant for the IMF, the Austrian Ministry of Education, the Irish Ministry of Education and the UK Department of Education. She has been Visiting Scholar at the IMF, MIT and NBER. Her research interests are in international macroeconomics, international finance, the economic effect of liquidity crises, innovation and its financing.
