Lisa Schulkind is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research focuses on the causes and effects of poverty, with a particular focus on how we can use public policy to improve intergenerational mobility for those who are born into and grow up in poverty. Her work has been published in peer reviewed journals, including the Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics and Demography. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of California at Davis.
