Luiz de Mello is Director, OECD Economics Department. He joined the Economics Department of the OECD in 2003. Prior to that, he was Senior Economist at the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund and Lecturer at the Department of Economics of the University of Kent, United Kingdom, from which he holds a PhD in Economics.
