Magdalena is a Senior Research Analyst in the Research & Statistics unit of of the Monetary and Economic Department (MED), Bank for International Settlements. She joined the BIS in 2006 and she has worked on a number of research projects related to monetary policy, financial markets and institutions. Ms Erdem holds an MSc in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics, where she graduated in two specialisations: Quantitative Methods & Information Systems and Finance & Banking, an MA in Economics from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and a PhD in Economics from The International Doctorate in Economic Analysis (IDEA), Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain.
