Magnus Lodefalk is an associate professor at Örebro University, Sweden, and affiliated to the Ratio research institute and the Global Labor Organization. He holds a PhD in economics from Örebro University and a BSc in Economics from Stockholm University as well as a BA in political science from Linneaus University. His research is about what drives and hinders the growth of companies and the effects of such factors on jobs, wages and economic growth. He studies the economic impact of a number of factors, ranging from technology and public policies, for example, on foreign trade, to the impact of migrant workers, as well as of servicification of companies. He often employs econometric method to analyse large longitudinal and linked employer-employee data sets.
