Mar Reguant is a professor at Northwestern University. She is concurrently a research affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Before her current position, she was an assistant professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (2011-2015). She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011. Her research interests focus on energy economics, emphasizing electricity and the pollution associated with electricity generation. She has published numerous papers in academic journals, including the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, and Journal of Politicial Economy. She has presented in various seminars and is a recipient of the 2016 Sloan Research Fellowship and the 2017 Sabadell Prize, among other honors.
