Marc Sommer is a Swiss economist and mathematician. He was educated at the University of Zurich, where he earned his Ph.D. degree in Economics in 2019 after obtaining his B.S. degree in Mathematics and his M.A. degree in Economics with specialization in Econometrics. His main research interests are in the field of economic and social networks and include strategic games played on networks, network formation games, key player based policy design and analysis, centrality measures in networks, value of information in strategic games, and microeconomic foundations of statistical models of social interaction.
