Marcel Lukas is a lecturer in Banking and Finance at the University of St Andrews. His research focuses on the impact of financial technology (FinTech) on household finance and financial decision making. His work on economic inequality is published in Nature - Human Behaviour. His recent work on budgeting and other financial management apps was covered by the Financial Times, BBC News and Business Insider. He studied at Berlin School of Economics and Law and St Andrews University before completing his PhD studies at the University of Edinburgh.
