Marco Petracco Giudici

Marco Petracco Giudici holds master degrees in financial economy and environmental economics. He is a principal technical project officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, Economic and Financial Resilience unit. Marco is currently working in the “sustainable finance” team, he is coordinating activities on nature based risks, and is pursuing research on financial stability implications of the green and digital transitions. Between 2007 and 2021 he has been working in and coordinating the “financial stability and regulation” team. In this role he conducted extensive research in support of the post-great financial crisis regulatory reforms for the banking sector, the establishment of the banking union and systemic risk. Before joining the JRC in 2007, Marco worked as an applied research economist for the British Government’s Economic Service, and for Caribbean Development Bank as an ODI fellow, concentrating mainly on development and sustainability issues.
