Mariana Tavares is a PhD candidate at the Economics department of Maastricht University. Her research is on Economics of Education, namely disentangling and capturing cognitive and non-cognitive skills, under the supervision of Lex Borghans and Ron Diris.
From 2015 to 2017, she held a position at Banco de Portugal, in the Economics and Research department, where she worked mainly on International Trade and Labor Economics. Mariana holds a master in Economics by Nova SBE, with a major in Public Policy.
