Mariapia Mendola is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Milano-Bicocca and Research Fellow at IZA and Centro Studi Luca d'Agliano. Prior to joining the University of Milano-Bicocca, she spent visiting periodsat the New York University and at the Tinbergen Institute in Amsterdam. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, an MA in Development Economics from the University of Sussex and a Ph.D in economics from the University of Milan. Her research is in the field of development economics, household and population economics, economics of migration.
