artin is a PhD Candidate at the University of Bonn and was a visiting PhD student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His Job Market Paper won the Best Paper Award at the EFA Doctoral Tutorial. He received Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics from Free University of Berlin, University of Kiel and Bonn, with visits at University College London and the University of Stockholm. He also served as a consultant at the World Bank and received scholarships from the German Ministry of Science (Deutschland Stipendium), the Bonn Graduate School of Economics and the German Research Foundation (DFG) via the Research Training Group 2281 on the Macroeconomics of Inequality. His research to date has analyzed institutions for the resolution of financial distress regarding their economic ramifications both at the micro and macro-economic level. He also worked on household inequality, consumption and expectations.
