Masazumi Hattori

Senior Economist at Bank For International Settlements

Masazumi Hattori is a Senior Economist at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). Before he joined the BIS, he worked at the Bank of Japan as an Economist for research and analysis on financial markets and banking industry. His research covers policy-related issues such as unconventional monetary policy, the yen carry trade, financial regulation, and bank lending. He has a BA in economics from Hitotsubashi University and a DPhil in economics from the University of Oxford, and has held a Visiting Research Fellow position at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
