Massimiliano Pisani is a Senior Economist in the Forecasting and Modeling Division of the Bank of Italy’s Economics, Research and International Relations Area. He earned his Phd in economics from the London School of Economics in 2007. His main fields of interest are international economics and open economy models, in particular large-scale multi-country dynamic general equilibrium models. His contributions include the forecast of oil prices, the analysis of global imbalances, the macroeconomic effects of oil shocks, fiscal policy and structural reforms in open economy. He has been visitor several times at the Research Departments of European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund and New York Fed.
