Matthew Alford

Matthew Alford is Associate Professor of International Business and Management at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester (UoM). Previously, he was a Research Associate and Assistant Professor at the Global Development Institute, UoM; and prior to that he worked as project manager at PwC and the British Council. His areas of expertise include the governance of global value chains, labour standards and labour agency, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. He has published extensively on these issues in leading academic journals.
