Matthias Eckardt is a post-doc researcher at the Chair of Statistics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He is a statistician with interests in complex data scenarios, in particular, the analysis of spatial data and marked spatial point processes. His PhD research focussed on the introduction of a graphical modeling formalism to detect conditional independence relations in highly complex spatial and spatio-temporal data. Before joining the Chair of Statistics, Matthias holds a visiting professorship in Castellon (Spain) and different research assistent positions in Germany.
