Matthias Rottner is an economist at the Monetary and Economic Department at the Bank for International Settlements. He is currently on leave from the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank. He conducts research in macroeconomics with a particular focus on monetary policy, macro-finance, and numerical methods. He has published in the Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of International Economics, and European Economic Review. He received his PhD from the European University Institute in 2021.
