Matthias Schief is an economist in the Structural Policy Research Division of the OECD Economics Department. He joined the OECD in 2023, after completing his PhD in Economics at Brown University. At the OECD, Matthias has worked on issues relating to population ageing, productivity, and artificial intelligence. His personal research interests also include the measurement and drivers of economic inequality, as well as broader topics in macroeconomics and political economy.
