Matthias Sutter is Director at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn and leads the Experimental Economics Group there. He is also Professor of Economics at the University of Cologne and the University of Innsbruck (both places in part-time). His research focuses on (i) the development of economic decision making in childhood and adolescence, (ii) the economics of credence goods, and (iii) how team decision making differs from individual decision making. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Innsbruck in 1999. Since then, he was employed at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena, the University of Gothenburg, or the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence.
