Matti Sarvimäki is a senior researcher at the VATT Institute for Economic Research and a research fellow at the Department of Economics at Aalto University. His research interests include labor economics, economic history, international trade and household finance. Sarvimäki earned his PhD in economics from the Helsinki School of Economics in 2009. He has been a post-doctoral researcher at LSE and a visiting scholar at MIT and UCL.
