Maurizio Bovi

Research Manager at Italian National Institute of Statistics

Maurizio Bovi is Research Manager at the Italian National Institute of Statistics where he is the Principal Investigator of the research network on "Macroeconomics and Expectations". Bovi taught previously at University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and served as a Ministry of Economy Adviser. His main research interests are macroeconomic models, tax evasion, consumer surveys and expectations, national accounts. His paper Economic versus Psychological Forecasting. Evidence from Consumer Confidence Surveys (2009, Journal of Economic Psychology, 30, 4, pp. 563–574) won the “Isaac Kerstenetzky” Best Paper Award at the 29th CIRET Conference (Santiago, Chile, October, 8-11 2008). He also published in several international journals (Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Labour, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Economics Bulletin, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control). He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
