Micael Castanheira is Director for Research of the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique and a Professor of Economics at ECARES: the European Centre for Advanced Research in Economics, which is part of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is also a CEPR Research Fellow. Micael obtained his Ph.D. in economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and has been a Post-doctoral Fellow at IGIER (Bocconi University, Milan) and a Visiting Scholar at NYU.
