Michael Darden is an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University, where he holds appointments in the Carey Business School and the Department of Economics. Professor Darden is also a research faculty fellow at the National Bureau of Economics Research (NBER). Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Professor Darden taught at George Washington University and Tulane University. Professor Darden conducts research in health economics, with an emphasis on the role of information in health and health care markets, and his work has appeared in outlets such as the Journal of Political Economy, International Economic Review, Journal of Human Resources, and the Annals of Surgery. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
