Michael Davies

Michael Davies is a Senior Economist at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland. Previously he has worked in the Economic and Financial Markets Groups at the Reserve Bank of Australia. His research interests include: the impact of financial market turbulence on bank funding and profitability; and government involvement in housing finance and securitisation markets. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Newcastle and a masters degree from Macquarie University, Sydney.
