Michael Makowsky is Associate Professor in the John E. Walker Department of Economics at Clemson University. His research centers on the economics of law enforcement, crime, and club goods. Dr. Makowsky‘s interdisciplinary research has been published in top peer-reviewed journals across a variety of disciplines, including the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Law & Economics, Journal of Legal Studies, and Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion. He received his PhD in Economics from George Mason University in 2008.
