Milan Brahmbhatt

Senior Adviser in the PREM Network at The World Bank

Milan Brahmbhatt is Senior Adviser in the World Bank’s Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) Network. In this capacity he advises and leads work on a wide range of economic policy issues including on policy responses to the global financial crisis, fiscal policy for growth and development and economic policy aspects of climate change. Before his current position, Mr. Brahmbhatt was Adviser to the Chief Economist of the World Bank’s East Asia and Pacific Region, with a focus on cross-country economic policy analysis, growth and poverty reduction issues, and responsibility for preparation of the Region’s widely read bi-annual reports on regional economic prospects. Earlier, Mr. Brahmbhatt was leader of the global economic prospects and forecasting team in the Bank’s Development Economics Department.
