Milan Vodopivec received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a Staff Member of the World Bank, where he has worked in the Research Department and in the Human Development Network. He also served as a State Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labor of Slovenia, and was a Teacher and Dean of the first private college in Slovenia. His research interests focus on labour market and cash benefit systems. He has published widely in these areas.
