Mirco Tonin is a Professor in Economic Policy at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and Director of the Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies (FBK-IRVAPP) in Trento. He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA), at CESifo and at the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy. He holds a PhD from Stockholm University. His main research interests lie in the areas of public, behavioral and labor economics. He has worked on charitable giving, pro-social motivation, labor market institutions, educational attainment, consumer behavior. His research has been funded by the ESRC, the Leverhulme Trust, UniCredit Foundation, the British Academy. He has been a consultant for the ILO and the World Bank.
