Mirko Licchetta

Mirko Licchetta is an Economist at the DG ECFIN of the European Commission. Prior to the European Commission, he worked as a senior economist in the International Division of the Bank of England and as an economic adviser at the Office for Budget Responsibility, the UK fiscal council. He also worked as an economic adviser on aspects of fiscal policy at the UK Treasury and on energy and climate change policies at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. His fields of interest are fiscal policy, international finance and macroeconomics.
