Monica Paiella

Professor of Economics at Parthenope University of Naples

Monica Paiella is a Professor of Economics at the University of Naples Parthenope. Previously, she worked as an economist in the Research Department of the Bank of Italy. She graduated from New York University, Stern School of Business, and holds a PhD from the University College London. She has been a consultant for the ECB and held visiting positions at Columbia University, Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF), Goethe Universitat in Frankfurt, Frankfurt School of Finance and EBS in Wiesbaden. Her research is in the area of household finance and empirical financial economics. She has been recipient of a Marie Curie grant and other grants and awards (at national and European level) and has published extensively in leading international peer-reviewed journals.
