Mototsugu Shintani is a professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo, Japan. His area of expertise is macroeconomics and econometrics. Before joining the faculty in 2018, he held positions at Osaka University, Keio University, Vanderbilt University, the Bank of Japan, and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.
