Nicola Gagliardi

Economic Analyst at European Commission

Nicola Gagliardi is Economic Analyst at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs. He holds an MRes in Quantitative Economics from the European Centre for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics (ECARES, SBS-EM) of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where is he is also completing his PhD. He has published on topics related to the labour market, international trade, and productivity analysis and has contributed to publications on population ageing, debt sustainability analysis, and the economics of climate change. His current work is focused on issues of long-term fiscal sustainability, with particular reference to the analysis of the pension systems and the fiscal risks related to climate change.
