Nicolas is Vice President of the Macroeconomic section of the Economic Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Nicolas’s research focuses on the business cycle dynamics of labor markets, and how they are impacted by the functioning of credit and product markets. He has published articles in leading academic journals, and coauthored a graduate economics textbook with the MIT press. Nicolas received his Ph. D. in economics from the University of Quebec, Montreal and his B.A. in economics from HEC Montreal.
