Oliver Som

Oliver Som is Deputy Head of the Competence Center "Industrial and Service Innovation" at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research in Karlsruhe, Germany. He studied Political and Social Sciences at the University of Stuttgart with particular focus on innovation and organisational theory, organisational behaviour, and quantitative and qualitative methodologies of empirical research. During his past eight years working in applied innovation research, he has been involved in a large number of research and consultancy projects. He obtained his doctoral degree on empirical research about innovation strategies of non-R&D performing firms in the German manufacturing industry.
