Pablo Hernandez-Lagos is Assistant Professor of Economics at New York University in Abu Dhabi. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley. His work explores how economic outcomes are shaped by collective and individual political activity. He studies the relationship between economic growth and conflict, whether political polarisation undermines trust, and the role of political leaders on equity markets. Prior to his doctoral studies, he helped create Chile’s Innovation Strategy.
