Pedro Llanos-Paredes is a Postdoctoral Research Officer at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford. He holds a PhD in Economic Geography from the London School of Economics (LSE), where he wrote a thesis on the causal effects of innovation and industrial policies in Europe. His current research delves into the impact of emerging technologies on US labour markets. Before his PhD, Pedro worked as a Research Coordinator at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), managing randomised controlled trials (RCTs) to assess the effectiveness of various policy interventions in Latin America. He has also collaborated with organisations such as USAID and the Ford Foundation to produce reports on the taxation of mining and oil industries in Peru and Colombia.
