Philipp Hildebrand

Chairman of the Governing Board at Swiss National Bank (SNB)

Philipp M. Hildebrand is a Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), member of the Group of Thirty since 2008, Chairman of the Foundation Board of the International Centre for Monetary and Banking Studies (ICMB) in Geneva. He was Chairman of the Deputies of the Group of Ten (2006-2007), and prior to joining the Governing Board of the SNB, he was a Partner at Moore Capital Management in London and New York and Chief Investment Officer of the Union Bancaire Privee in Geneva. He has done postgraduate studies at the Graduate Institute, Geneva (1988–1990), the European University Institute, Florence (1992) and the Center for International Affairs, Harvard (1993); he received his PhD in International Relations from the University of Oxford in 1994.
