Pierre-Cyrille Hautcoeur is Professor of Economics at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris School of Economics). He is specialist in financial and monetary history and the Director of the High Quality Data Project for Financial History whose purpose is to build a complete historical database for the French Stock Exchanges from the nineteenth to the twentieth centuries.
